We welcome Riigs to the Red Sub-Label Recordings family with a fantastic three track ep. The tracks on Blue Lotus were written at a time when walking in nature and a deserted city was the only solace. They are intended to be positive and ultimately to reflect the power of the human spirit in adversity. They each combine pulsing drums with organic melodies and soundscapes.

Birthday Song features a hypnotic beat and wavering bassline, creating urgency and motion. Bell-like melodies and washed out vocals give way to a huge lead synth which takes the track to a new place of determination and positivity.

Blue Lotus is built around a simple guitar riff which is layered with lush pads supported by a pitched bass. On top of this melodies interact with distant voices to create a feeling of longing and desire.

Northern Strings travels from a reflective and introspective opening to a soaring guitar lead with delicate melodies dancing around it. As the energy builds on layers of live percussion the song becomes joyful and optimistic celebration.
