We welcome DRT WHT (pronounced, Dirty White) to Sub-Label Recordings – Yellow with his diversely inspired release, Xenophilia.

Beginning with 'Eel', a exploration of minimal and experimental areas of the drum and bass spectrum. With twisted sound design blended with filtered pads and sci fi inspired synths, this track is constantly evolving through its rich sound palette. Haunting stabs contrast the sub bass that rolls through the track.

Secondly, we have 'Relevation'. This is DRT WHT's sound and furthest reaching of the experimental sound design. The manipulation of the synths and groove cleverly disguise the sense of time and pace in the track until the second drop. Abstract drum & bass at its finest. This is also a great showcase of the production talents of DRT WHT.

Thirdly 'Love' rounds off the EP with a more familiar structure to the drum n bass genre. The track begins with a haunting pad that whispers through the spectrum before the introduction of the distant bass sound. The playfully stabbed riff dances in and out of the drums while holding a perfectly contrasting sound to the harsh gritty bass tone.

A brilliant ep and perfect way to introduce yourself to the label.
